Growing up in Perthshire, Scotland, I was always happiest drawing and making things. I particularly loved anything involving stationery and lending out books from my 'library'. Later, I studied Illustration & Printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee.
After some time living in Australia and working for the most wonderful paper emporium (be sure to visit Monograms Fine Papers if you're in Brisbane), I returned to the UK and set up my own custom stationery business, Ten and Sixpence, designing wedding invitations and birth announcements alongside other paper goods.
Recently, I returned to art school and studied for an MA Children's Book Illustration at the wonderful Cambridge School of Art. It was here that I rediscovered my love of printmaking whilst learning to tell stories. I graduated in 2015 and was lucky enough to have one of my final projects turned into a picture book! Grumpy Pants was published in May 2016.
I currently live under a thatch in Cambridgeshire with my husband and my dog.
I'm delighted to be represented by Rebecca Sherman at Writers House.
